Here's a thought

John Dalrymple said: “The truth is that we only learn to pray all the time everywhere after we have resolutely set about praying some of the time somewhere.” The same is true of worship. Practicing the discipline of worship is the very thing that create the space in our hearts from which the spontaneous expression of worship can grow.

Venture around the counties

If you are woman in ministry, seeking the fellowship and support of others who labor among you, take the time to discover the National Fellowship Of Women In Ministry. This group of women meet monthly to discuss and plan a variety of subjects and programs. Under the "advisorship" of Apostle Angela Kittrell--a teacher of "good things"-- they have opportunities to speak, teach, and lead others.

When I arrived at their meeeting in Colonial Beach, the subject of discussion was: The Dynamic of Honor. A certification course of work is upcoming on their calendar. Want to check it out or participate, email: emmanuelinfo@gmail.com.

Although the place of their meetings moves around you can set aside August 23, 2010 at 10am for their next get together.

Jericho Baptist in Revival in Caroline County. If you have a chance...go and have a wonderful time. Their guest speaker is Rev. Durant, of Washington DC. Last night His message dealt with Joseph and his wrestle with an angel. Sometimes we have to cope/confront our fears to move on towards our destiny. Their services begin at 7:30pm.

We've been asking for cooler days, who knew it would come by storm clouds and rain?

Last Nite of Revival

What a week of revival! Second Baptist's last night of revival with Strong Tower Ministry's Pastor, Apostle Kevin Milhfeld was a soul stirring, mind blowing, destiny filled, nite of great worship. STM Praise and Worship Team lead by Minister Tyrone Powell (who incidentally did a wonderful job of introducing his Pastor), set the atmosphere for things to come. The message of Praise, Destiny and my Place-- was so easily understood that even a 5-year old child was moved by the word. The Apostle skillfully inter weaved, the word, examples, and song through out the evening. It was difficult to stay seated. Throughout revival week the members of Second Baptist worked hard to make their visitors feel welcome from the greeters, ushers, pastoral care, hospitality and members to the staff ,Pastor and First Lady Werts. Second Baptist's media team offers cassettes, CDs and DVDs of the week and will gladly fill your orders. Call: 804-994-5443. More video recaps to come. Feel free to Follow, and "Log in to Blog In" about your church, group or events.

Get Off My Boat!

After the testimonies had been heard, songs had been sung: courtesy of Second Baptist Mass Choir, and a beautiful introduction by First Lady Daphne Milfeld--came a word from the Lord.

What a powerful word by Apostle Milhfeld, of Strong Tower Ministries. From the Book of Jonah, he took our focus from Jonah to the people on the boat. When the storms and drama of others threaten to rock our boat and keep you from your destiny--it's kick them off your boat, that they might live. This word has come twice to 2nd Baptist, maybe God is Trying to tell you something.

Tonite is the last nite of revival! Come out at 7:30 and enjoy what's in store for you. Joining the Apostle is STM Praise and Worship Team, under the able direction of Minister Tyrone Powell. Y'all bettah "sang!" Recapping the week:

Nite 4 of the Revival: Rev. Phillip Atkins revisited the three Hebrew boys. You can't have a testimony without a test. Most memorable quote, "Sometimes the fire is to burn off the bindings." Backed by his choir, and awesome pianist/songtress, they rocked the house with songs that I haven't heard sung in years. All I can say is "Preach Preacher Preach."
The house went up when the Pastor and 1st Lady Werts walked into the service. Having been away to take of family business, they were able to put in their first appearance since the Revival started. We were so happy to see them.

Tonite's guest speaker is Apostle Kevin Milhfeld of Strong Tower Ministries, Stafford, VA. I have waited 365 days for tonite. (I love the "support Apostle at 2nd Baptist" page that was put up on Facebook.) It is wonderful to see a church support their pastor.

Come On Out and Join The Revival at 7:30. Bring your great expectations!
